Your Act-On account can work seamlessly with your Salesforce.com Unlimited, Enterprise or Professional Edition account.
Intelligent Synchronization

Act-On uses the Force.com API to pull the leads and contacts you need for your marketing campaigns from Salesforce.
Unlike the majority of marketing automation platforms, Act-On does not automatically bring across the entire
Salesforce database. Instead, it allows you to decide just how much to bring across, and then it keeps this subset
in sync and up-to-date.
While you can choose to bring across the entire database, a more typical need is to market to the members of one or
more Salesforce campaigns. Working with the campaign members is very fast, and is inherently safer than trying to keep
two separate complete copies of your database in sync with each other.
Let Sales See What Marketing Does

As you run your marketing campaigns, Act-On automatically updates the contact and lead records in Salesforce, by adding
all the marketing touch points (such as emails sent, clickthroughs, webinar registrations, webinar attendance, white
paper downloads, website visits, and more) to the respective activity histories.
Act-On adds only the most relevant marketing touch points to the activity history. For your Salesforce user who wants to
see *everything*, there is an "Act-On Activity History" button right within each lead or contact record page. Clicking on
this button pops up a window that shows each and every marketing touch point for that lead or contact.

There is also a "Send Act-On Email" button within each lead and contact page. It lets the Salesforce user choose from among
your pre-defined Act-On email templates and send a fully trackable e-mail to that lead or contact.
WebEx & Salesforce, Together At Last
Use Act-On to set up your event or webinar, and then invite selected segments of your Salesforce Leads and Contacts.
Have Act-On automatically create a Salesforce campaign to track the progress and status of your webinar. Or select an existing
Salesforce campaign to associate with your WebEx webinar.

As people respond to your webinar invitation messages and sign up for your webinar, Act-On automatically updates the Salesforce
campaign members and their corresponding campaign status codes back in Salesforce.
After the webinar, Act-On pulls the attendance and participation data automatically from WebEx.
For webinar participants who are also members of Salesforce campaigns, their Salesforce campaign status codes are updated
automatically to reflect their attendance.
